Maria de Graça Santos

Ph.D.

Maria de Graça Santos is an academic fellow at the European Graduate School EGS. She is a clinical psychologist working since 1991 with children, youth and young adults using Expressive Arts Therapies. Graca Duarte Santos is Professor in the Psychology Department of the University of Evora (Portugal) where she founded and has taught the Expressive Therapies courses in the MA Psychology and Psychomotor Rehabilitation programs since 1999.

Her research is in Expressive Arts Therapy in relation to behavior problems and special education.

She has also introduced a protocol for collaboration between EGS and the University of Evora for the creation of a Post-Graduate Program in Expressive Arts Therapy and Human Development.

Maria de Graça Santos is also co-director of a Post-Graduate Program in Development through Expressive Arts (ISPA – Lisbon).
