Melinda Ashley Meyer is the former Director of the Expressive Arts Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding Program at EGS. She is a researcher at the Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies (NKVTS) and the Director and Co-founder of the Norwegian Institute for Expressive Art and Communication (NIKUT). She is a Director of Psychodrama and is a trained bioenergetics-therapist. Since 1983 she has focused on the combination of community, group and individual psychotherapy. She worked as an Expressive Arts therapist at the Psychosocial Centre for Refugees with torture survivors and war refugees from 1990-2004. Since 2008 she has been project leader for a controlled study with unaccompanied minor refugee boys between the age of 15 and 18 at NKVTS applying EXIT as an early intervention model.

Melinda Ashley Meyer has been giving lectures and workshops within the field of Expressive Arts, Psychodrama, Trauma, Conflict Transformation and cross-cultural group work in Europe, Israel, East Europe, North, Central and South America. She has made two documentary films, written articles and participated in writing several books.
